How an air-source heat pump works
In the same way that a fridge uses refrigerant to extract heat from the inside, keeping your food cool, an air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air which is then converted into high-grade heat to be released through under-floor heating, radiators and into the hot water tank.

For every 1 unit of electricity used to power the pump, 3 to 4 units of heat are produced, making it an efficient way of heating a building.

How solar panels work to provide heating & hot water
Solar panels collect solar radiation from the sun and actively convert that energy to power. Solar panels comprise several individual solar cells and when the solar cells are exposed to sunlight, the diodes convert the energy from sunlight into usable electrical energy or hot water.
