The Pot-Belly stove with its true "Wild West" pedigree was originally a CABIN STOVE. This type of non-airtight simple stove works best on a short chimney (e.g. a cabin) with low draught chimney pull. It is not suitable for a tall chimney. Any type of solid fuel can be used including wood and wood waste.

There are many variations of this famous marque. A good Pot-Belly (like ours) has a DAMPER CONTROL at the top of the stove smoke exit . It will also have a good opening lid on top for fuelling or fast boiling of a kettle or pan, and it should have a riddler/thrower grate. All of these features are included in our model.

The Pot-Belly is available in two sizes, the No 6 and the No 8.
